Decorative Cloth. Very Good / No Jacket. Green cloth boards with black blind stamped borders mild shelf wear, some soiling but good. Gilt arms of Republica Del Paraguay on front board and spine good, as is title. Spine a little sunned, head and foot rolled. 332 pp + 16 pp adverts. Mostly clean and tight (minor occassional foxing). Fold out map. Both hinges professionally repaired. Author's Preface dated March 1870. "Defeat and Death of Lopez" dated April 1870 is a last minute update after this edition had already been printed and is bound in between the Preface and "Introduction to the First Edition". This title also appeared in Spanish as "Siete Años de Aventuras en el Paraguay".
